Lab #1 - Setting Up The Main Index Page

This is my index (main) page for the first lab assignment!

I tried making a navigation bar to experiment with some CSS and HTML. My first problem I encountered while working on this lab was trying to get a somewhat decent format for my text, figure, and other content; however, it is still something that I will definitely continue to work on.

Thank you so much for such an awesome class!

Also, one of our group members could not get the image to display on calendar.php; however, their code was exactly the same and their FTP directory looked the same.

I removed the transitions and animations from the previous lab because I didn't want to affect mobile users.

Grader Notes

For the part "Remove unwanted css from the last lab. Generally this tends to be animation and transitions," I removed the odd/even list background coloring from my CSS. I did not like the look of it on my webpage.

Grader Notes

Professor Erickson allowed me to put my "background image" in the header, so I put it there. Also, I felt like a lot of block elements didn't need rgba so I only used a little bit of it and the criteria says "You can set this for the the main elements or as you see fit," so I used it as I saw fit.

Grader Notes

I added JS to spice up my form a bit. The purpose of my script is to make it so the user has to select the checkbox for other in order to be able to type in the text box next to it. Also, if they deselect the check box, it is bootstrapped again.

Notes to grader

My lab 2 project was based on having people switch over to using solar panels for their homes!

Please Note: The "Join the Mission" link in the navigation bar on my solar panel's website does not link to anything currently. I did this in anticipation for lab 3!!!
